Step 1: Double check the page for any edits that can be made. Step 2: Make sure the page has bleed applied- all elements going off the page must extend at least 1p5 picas off the page. Step 3: Save the page. Step 4: Go to File -> Export.
Step 5: Make sure you’re saving the page in adobe pdf print format and that you have the proper name on your document. ex: 625274_092_093). The 092/093 is the page number. Make sure you’re also saving the pdf in into proper deadline folder!
Step 6:After you click save its gonna take you to a dark grey window. Go to the left toolbar and click on marks and bleeds.
Step 7: Towards the bottom of this window there should be four boxes with dimensions in them. Put the dimensions as 1p5. Pro tip: Type 1p5 in one box then click the chain until the other boxes have the same dimensions.
Step 8: Click export. Pro tip: If there’s a box that says there’s offset text, that means that there's a text box that's too small to fit all of the text someone put in it. I would go back and make sure that there's no text hiding anywhere on the page. :) Step 9: Select the folder that contains all PDFed pages for this submission. Right click on the folder and click 'Compress "Folder Name"'. It will create a zip file. Step 10: Log in to Balfour. Step 11: Go to Build A Book -> Files to Balfour.
Step 12: Click the "Upload Files to Balfour" button.
Step 13: Fill in any comments BEFORE you click "Choose Files". Step 14: Navigate to your file and click on it. Step 15: After you upload it you may have to click "Retrieve Info", so keep an eye on the page. Step 16: You are done when a pop up on the top of the page appears saying you've successfully sent in your files! :)
